Welcome to 3Keel! How have your first days been so far?
Packed! From visiting the Long Hanborough and Oxford offices to settling into the London office and attending an AI Innovation Day at Fera in York, I’ve already had the chance to meet so many colleagues and contribute to some really interesting conversations. It’s been a fantastic start and I’m looking forward to what’s ahead!
What have you started working on?
I’ve been getting stuck into our work on the EU Deforestation Regulation, supporting both new and existing clients to prepare for the upcoming deadline. My background is in sustainability regulation and how it impacts strategy and business models so it’s been great putting that experience to use straight away.
What are you looking forward to most about working for 3Keel?
It’s an interesting time to be working on sustainable supply chains. Regulatory uncertainty has settled, but physical risks are heightening while sustainability goals are getting closer – all against a challenging macroeconomic backdrop. The right tools and approaches can help organisations respond effectively, when guided by strong expertise and the right questions. I’m looking forward to working with such a passionate and expert team on projects alongside great clients to navigate these challenges and develop some novel solutions.
Who or what inspired you to work in sustainability?
My dad was a big inspiration for me. I remember him explaining to me from a young age how climate change was already changing the places and landscapes we take for granted. That really stayed with me and pushed me to learn more about environmental change and ultimately pursue a career where I could help make a difference.
When you’re not working, what do you like to do?
My two big hobbies at the moment are bouldering and drawing, especially portraits – these are two activities where I can get completely absorbed. Bouldering has been an ideal distraction for me while I wait for the ski season to return. I can’t wait to get back ski touring and spending time in the mountains!
