Gemma is a Consultant working within the Sustainable Commodities practice area at 3Keel. Her work is currently focused on a project relating to palm oil supply chain mapping with the aim of improving traceability and supporting the client to meet its deforestation target.
Prior to joining 3Keel Gemma was a founding member of Creative Carbon Scotland, a charity initiated to support Scotland’s cultural sector to meet net zero and play its full role in building a more sustainable society. Her role initially focused on developing the charity’s carbon management training programme, events and networks and went on to manage their Culture/SHIFT programme which brought together unusual partners to solve climate and environmental issues. She has a First-Class Honors Degree in Sustainable Development from the University of St Andrews with a focus on building participation in environmental issues through creative approaches.
Outside of work Gemma can be found working on creative projects and spending time in nature hiking, cycling and swimming.
