2025 was intended to be a milestone in forest-risk commodities, with many companies setting it as the year that their sourcing would be fully verified deforestation- and conversion-free.
This webinar explores the persistent challenges that retailers, food service providers, manufacturers and their suppliers still face, which meant that the milestone year failed to deliver sufficient progress. It is based on findings from 3Keel’s large-scale data collection involving more than 1,600 suppliers, published on 18 June in our latest report, ‘2025: a milestone year? Insights from nine years assessing progress in palm oil, soy and cocoa supply chains’.
Context
3Keel has just completed its ninth year of leading a collaborative data collection initiative focused on deforestation-risk supply chains, spanning the retail, food service, and manufacturing sectors. Over this time, meaningful progress has been made but critical gaps still hinder full alignment with deforestation- and conversion-free goals.
This webinar shares key insights from 3Keel’s engagement with over 1,600 companies reporting on 2025 supply of palm oil, soy and cocoa, alongside lessons learned from almost a decade of ongoing conversations with the industry. This practical session will be the first chance to discover the findings from the report, which brings together the key data from this year’s data collection programme.
This webinar will cover
- Progress made over the past nine years towards supply chain transparency and vDCF commitments
- Insights into how progress differs across commodities and product groups
- Practical recommendations for how to overcome barriers to reduce deforestation and land conversion in supply chains
Who should attend
The webinar will be useful if you are:
- Working towards achieving verified deforestation- and conversion-free cocoa, soy or palm oil supply chains
- Looking to understand the on-the-ground challenges in achieving vDCF compliance
- Looking for actionable strategies to overcome these barriers and accelerate progress
